These images where taken around 2004 after the installation of the interior of K.I.T.T. that included the dashboard, armrest console, overhead console, front nose and scanner components and subsystems. K.I.T.T.'s interior was not originally built with the entire sound system as it is installed today.

K.I.T.T.'s original interior and sound system were based on a "removable" sound system to keep theft at bay. The entire amp and subwoofer systems were portable leaving a baseline stereo to listen to music without the worry of the gear getting stolen. K.I.T.T.'s sound system evolved into what it is today when my friend Joe Paquette introduced me to another ingenious person named Thomas William Holmes, III (passed 2011, rest his soul). Tom took something that was great and built it into awesome.

The final results are what is shown in the gallery. A special thanks goes out to my family & friends, Joe Paquette & family, Thomas Holmes III & family for all the time, effort and support it took in order to get me to the goal line of finishing K.I.T.T.. Everyone helped with sound system development & installation phases in various ways. NOTE: without these two critical people (Tom and Joe), what you see today could not have been made possible.

The car of remains in the same configuration and will most likely remain that way regardless emerging technologies.

It was a beautiful day and I decided to take the car out for a ride. K.I.T.T. started right up and ran great. These pictures bring back lots of fun memories of the build. While I'll never tear it down again, I will be doing some minor upgrades as time permits.

These videos were recorded long before the main stream use of cell phones, GoPro Cameras, and any other modern devices that we are accustom to by today's standards. They were "high res" which at that time was 320 x 240 @ 30fps in the "analog" domain (i.e. "Old School Taping"). I am looking at methods to upscale to HD format without the added unwanted artifacts to view at higher resolutions using today's TV standards such as 1080p and 4K, it is in process and will post updated videos as they are recreated.

Enjoy them for what they are and that is to demonstrate how difficult it was to create this car. I was working full time and had two small children at the time and was very lucky to have had the support to be able to build K.I.T.T..

Some of my friends were asking about the car and it was a good time to stretch its legs on a beautiful day. Car still looks and runs great, I will be driving it a bit more as it is so much fun to drive.
